TaPoS - Ticketing and Point of Sale

History

TaPoS was created by Jack Roe (CS) Ltd in 1997 as part of the integration between the cinema side of the company and the computer systems development department, Roe Computer Systems.

The company used its 75 years' experience in the cinema trade to develop the computer system alongside entertainment managers from the outset.

Development
The rate of system development has been excellent. The system offers ATMs, internet ticketing, automated telephone sales, stock control, integration with the GSA automation and many more features, many developed specifically for one or two sites' individual needs.
Overview
TaPoS is a complete system and includes hardware, software and support. It can handle all onsite sales - ticketing, food, drinks, vouchers and more. It links from cinema and event websites and sells tickets realtime from the THAWTE-certified JACROUTE safe internet server. Roe Computer Systems is authorised to provide all card handling, passing all transactions onto the bank and passing payment onto our customers in batches. The system can support cross-town ticketing and an automated telephone booking service.
Custom design as standard
Every site is different, some more than others. Every site's own particular needs, funds, history and building are considered when the system is custom designed to meet a customer's requirements. In some cases existing onsite equipment can be incorporated into a new Jack Roe TaPoS system. Ticketing machines can be standard, compact, dual-purpose or touchscreen and printers can be standard, compact or thermal. The full options are too many to list and new solutions are always being developed.
International
TaPoS is capable of operating in more than one country and selling internationally using multiple currencies. TaPoS can be translated into any language if required and so is available to any cinema and any event in the world. Dealing with more than one currency is straightforward with TaPoS' multiple currency feature. This is particularly useful for countries where the Euro is being introduced.
